I have 65 Ford F100. The speedo is off. When the speedo shows that I am doing 40, I am actually doing 60. Is there anyway to fix that? Or do I need to get a new one, if so where do I find one at. Thanks in advance.

You don't need a new speedometer head, you'll need to change one or both of the gears.
There are two speedometer gears, the DRIVEN gear is at the end of the cable where it fits into the trans. The DRIVE gear is located on the transmission output shaft.
Remove the DRIVEN gear, see if it's nylon or steel and count the number of teeth it has.
You can also get a Gear ratio adapter to install between the transmission and the cable to adjust the speedometer reading. I used one on mine since the rear end gears were changed to 3.25 to 1 ratio. Looks like something along the lines of a +50% would work for your application.
So what might be the diagnosis if the speedo is noisy and bounces up to 40-45 and is then steady?
Could be a kink in the line, could be rust. All this could be binding the cable in the sheath.
A long time ago a mechanic friend of mine would remove cable and insert one end into a drill, the other end would be placed in a container that had white lithium grease and automatic transmission fluid. Mixed real well of course.
By running the drill it would suck up the mixture into the sheath thus lubricating the inside. I've done this once with good results. As long as the sheath is not broke or kinked this should work.
