I had a new 911 twin turbo, a new SL55, a new Range Rover and a new XJ8 the day I bought my EX home. It wasn't love at first sight, but the old girl grew on me on my 2nd one now

S10 Blazer (21, joined the military and the parents sold it while I was at boot camp)
Honda Civic (wife's car, brought to me through marriage, sold before moving to Hawaii)
Pontiac Grand AM (Bought in Maine and shipped to Hawaii, Sold for Toyota)
Toyota Matrix (Bought in Hawaii and shipped to Chicago, Sold for Pontiac)
Pontiac Montana (Bought in Chicago, kept for about two weeks, sold for Trooper)
Isuzu Trooper (Bought in Chicago and moved to Virginia, Sold for Mazda Wagon)
Mazda 6 Wagon (Bought in VA Sold for 1st Ex)
69' VW Baja Beetle (Bought in VA sold for Mazda Hatchback)
Mazda 6 Hatchback (Bought in VA and shipped to Alaska, sold for Wife's Edge)
1st Excursion 2003 6.0 Eddie Bauer (Bought in VA and driven to Alaska, sold for 2nd Edge)
Ford Edge (Bought in Alaska, Wife still has it, but no longer stock )
2nd Ford Edge (Bought in Alaska, sold for Nitro)
Dodge Nitro (Bought in Alaska, sold for F150)
F150 (Bought in Alaska, after regretting the Dodge, then driven to Oregon, and sold for 2nd Ex!)

This list does not include the several motorcycles I have had over the years...

Yes, there were some stupid choices in that list, including selling the first Ex

Before my first Excursion i had my 1996 Ford Explorer Limited 4x4. I still have it even though it was totaled in 2011.

This doesn't account for the 20+ other Ford trucks i've had since i was a teen.

This is an interesting thread to me. I had been driving new trucks the last several years and decided to go back a few years to something I could pay cash for. I have been surprised how much I like the Excursion. When I factor in the "It's paid for feeling" I enjoy it even more and it becomes one of my favorites.

Everyone thinks I lost my mind going from trading new trucks every couple years to a 13 year old Excursion with 268k miles. I am truly enjoying it though and when it dies I will likely buy another Ex or possibly a Super Duty.

Russ, are you sure? You've had an Ex so long, I thought you went from your tricycle to one.

My daily driver was my 97 7.3 F-350, and I still have it, though it mostly just gets driven in the winter now. I try to keep the Excursion on a low sodium diet to postpone the inevitable. This is not a recent pic.... unfortunately, my 97 is getting a bit rusty. Still not as bad as most around here, as it only has about 115,000 mi on it.
