Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
1994 Jeep Cherokee, way more modifications than it was worth. Daily driver, weekend trail warrior. Admittedly it was setup more for trails than road use by the time I was done with it. Ford axles (go figure) with Detroit's and 4.56's, long arms from RE, 35's on a tiny hybrid homebrew 4" lift with severely trimmed fenders, Grand Cherokee leather seats, Dodge truck transfer case internals, 21-lb injectors,.... The list was huge. Bought her in 2006 from the original owner and only 76,xxx miles on her. Over the next five years she acquired well over 200,000 - a very significant amount due to wheel spin off-road. Without a doubt, THE MOST reliable vehicle and drivetrain I have ever owned to this day. 4.0 straight six, AX15 5-speed manual and an NP231 transfer case. The stock Dana 35 never failed me because I had it's replacement built and ready in the garage before I even got the Jeep home.
Without a doubt, the vehicle I most regret selling - even though it's sale provided the seed money for my Chevelle. I loved that Jeep, and I will always miss her.
Day I brought her home:
The last wheeling trip before she went to a new home the new month:

Especially once you get some unibody stiffeners, once I had them welded on I thoroughly enjoyed the lack of body creaking and being able to open and close doors when flexed a little bit.
Something went wonky with the heater core inside the dash and the driver's side blasted 100+ degree air while the rest of the truck was 70 degrees while the A/C was running.
We were quoted 2-3k to fix with the entire dash having to come out... so we traded it in on a Mercedes R350 for my wife and I got my current 2002 Excursion.
2. 2004 6.0 Excursion 78k miles - alive and slowly being deleted
3. 2004 2.0 Jetta 93k miles - I own it and brother drives it
Possible #4 - looking for a good condition Suzuki samurai to transform into a dedicated weekend warrior (don't laugh me off the forums)

'97 Mustang Cobra Convertible. I miss this car, actually.
