Rebuilt Engine Cost

Just Curious how much you guys have payed for rebuilt 2.3 engines for 94 ranger 2wd manual tranny and where to get them at?

Rebuilt Engine Cost

Try a junkyard with a lower mile motor. Couldn't be more than $600-$800. If the 4-cyl is junk, why don't you upgrade to a V-6?

i seriously considered that. if i get a 4.0 at a junkyard they would give it to me with the ignition and wiring and everything right? also will all this stuff snap into my harness or is their splicing involved? thanks

Rebuilt Engine Cost

Hey there guys! 1yamman hows it going? You can check out the engines from FORD. They go for about 875.00 for a rebuilt. You need to re-use your electronics for compatibility.
Switching over to the V-6 is ok also, if you can find a low mileage from a 93'-95'. About 1,200.00 used at a yard.
I would lean towards the 2.3 rebuild. Gas prices aren't going to be any cheaper. Talk with you guys later....
