Just found this damage on my 2006 F350 6.0. Is this something you would repair or replace based on fin damage. Will this affect performance? What is the small cooler in the picture? No leaks at this time...
That is the AC condenser. Mine was close to that bad on my 2003, A small pick and a radiator comb and a couple hours and it was good. The smaller one is the power steering/brake booster cooler.
I'm not sure what the previous owner hit, maybe a bulletproof armadillo? The truck has a $1500 Ranch Hand grille guard on it that had the expanded metal blown through and must have go into the radiator.

Before you replace it, you might spend some time on it with a radiator comb.
I am pretty sure you will have to evacuate your system after the part is replaced too. So it may be worth the time and money to have an a/c shop replace it. Just a wild guess, your probably looking at 500-750 parts and labor.
Now if the freon has already (self evacuated) then I would say buy the evac and manifold set from harbor freight and replace it yourself.
