Hello all. I'm new to this forum and having trouble with my truck. I have a 96 Ford f250 7.3 powerstroke and after I hit 20 miles an hour the transmission sounds like it's going to fall apart. going faster just makes it sound worse but when I slow down under 20 it goes away. please help. truck has 260,000 miled

Just at 20mph it started. No codes just racket around the transmission. Just got louder the faster I drove. Got in it today and no noise. Gave it h#$! and still no noise. Still shifts fine. Idk
