Radio issue

have a new 2015 SuperDuty that when you start engine, then turn radio on,,,radio will play for 3 seconds , go off for one or two,comes back on repeats process for four or five minutes before the radio or CD player plays on on continuous basis,,,is this the way the new radios operate? Any help appreciated

I have an 2015 XL with the AM/FM/CD player in the dash. It has never behaved that way. Turn it on, and it plays.

Warranty time.... a radio.. should act like a radio.... they have not reinvented the radio.

I assume you have SYNC. It will sometime do this once as it first "boots" up but if it is doing it more than that its dealer time.
