Hi. Just replaced all hpop orings. Injectors loud after start up at idle. Guessing air in lines. How long do I need to drive before all air out of lines and everything back to normal? Thanks
I've read I think about five minutes or so? I'm currently removing my hpop. How did you stop the motor from turning while taking out the 18 mm nut in front/
I used a big breaker bar and whacked hard with a mallot. I did not remove fuel bowl or lines but next time I think it will be a good idea. Hard to see what your doing. Let me know if you have questions while it's still fresh in my mind
The general rule of thumb, that I have read, is anywhere up to 50 miles of hard driving. That is important, as driving it hard calls for higher ICP, and therefor more volume of high pressure oil allowed to flow through the rails. In turn, that will purge the air quicker. If you're putzing around town, driving like grandma, then it will take longer.

i used needle nose pliers to remove the high pressure oil lines since i did not know there is a special tool. painted ic tubes and spider since they where removed.
I'll try the breaker bar and rubber mallet. I read vise grips ut I can't figure out where to put them.
I removed the fuel bowl since I believed it was leaking as well. It's on the bench and I will replace all the rings in it.
When replacing that cover back on the front what RTV am I supposed to use? I forgot about it and have not bought any yet.

i just used the blue since it's all I had. Will see if it holds up. I don't see why it wouldn't.
I had a large adjustable strap for oil filters. I wrapped that sucker around the a/c compressor then had my wife hold while I worked the bolt. I got it to pop right off.
Hey Suds how long did you wait to reinstall the pump after replacing seals? I think I have all the seals and loctite I need to do this job. I am also doing the fuel bowl reseal as well.
