Freeze plug issues

Freeze plug issues
So it's like this I'm the owner of a 74 ford f-100 with the small block 302 5.0 liter. She's been parked for the last five years and has been driving periodically when all other vehicles at resident take a crap but the last three times I've went to move her around the yard or let her idle a gallon or two to stay useful I've blown freeze plugs all three were replaced on the passenger side last time I moved her and before I shut her off she blew one on the driver side and I'm wondering if this is due to a rusted thermostat.....

Thermostats are cheap so changing would be prudent in any case since its has been in there for a while.
