start problems
i've had a '00 250 sd for about 3months...on a hot day two weeks ago, it wouldn't restart after sitting for a few hours. I found that I could gas it and rev the engine immediately, but as soon as I let off, the engine would shut off....replaced the fuel filter and tried again...with no luck...called for a tow the next morning...the shop told me that they didn't have any problems starting it up, and that diag showed nothing. So now, two weeks later...i'm stuck again...same problem....any suggestions would be appreciated

start problems
Idile air control motor...controls the idle. If you can press the pedal alittle and it starts thats what it is....They fail and get gummed up.. intermitten... Let us know

thanks for the sugg....that got it started back up. There was a lot of black dust in the old IAC vavle...similar to brake dust...is this from a faulty PCV vavle? or is there absolutely no connection between the two?
