68 Ranger Mirrors

Hi, could anybody tell me if these mirrors are original to my 68 F100 Ranger? And if anybody knows where I could find replacement arms. In the pic where my finger is pointing, it's no longer holding tight anymore and keeps slipping off. Thanks.

No joy....Those are Dentside (73-79) mirrors that someone retrofitted.

These are "gypo" auto parts store aftermarket mirrors, available from the 1970's into the 1990's

They resemble the 1973/79 TYPE 9 low mount Swing-Lock mirrors, but aren't...as the upper/lower brackets are different.

Plus, the Ford brackets are stainless steel, so wouldn't be pitted like these gypo chromo's.

The round device (see pic) that locks the Swing-Lock mirrors in place located between the upper mirror bracket and the arm is not present.
