I wish I had taken pictures of the flywheel, there was one ball left in the centre bearing and the entire friction surface was offset.
Well, all indicators are pointing towards a bent rod.
Going to go and get my 250 in the am to yank the engine out of.
It has more miles, but it's a known good engine and was my DD until the ZF failed. Going to do front and rear main seals, fix the leaky dipstick adapter, do injector O-rings, fix any other leaks and shove it in.
Anything else I should add to that list while it's on the stand?

water pump, timing cover gaskets, oil cooler, oil pan gasket
And it's out. Very impressed with what the bottom end looks like with the hours that are on this engine as well as it having 259k miles on it.
Had to pull the pan to fix the dipstick adapter anyway so I'm going to do a bearing roll while I have it apart.
Also very impressed with that summit racing engine stand.
