Ok here goes....yea, yea...it isn't a truck or a Ford....but...I am wondering where the low pressure service port for the AC is on a 1995 Mercury Sable. I believe the motor is a 3.0L. All I can find is the high pressure port it is right to the left of the radiator if you are facing the car. Any help here, is it hidden somewhere???
Thanks,
Chris
There should be a black plastic cover going the length of the firewall at the top of the firewall. On the passenger side you will see the EEC electrical connectors attached to that plastic panel. Just under that panel where you see those EEC connectors is the accumulator and the low side port is attached there.
Thanks a bunch I was looking for it and couldn't even find it. Is it that hidden? I must of looked for like 20 min before I gave up, sounds really stupid huh lol.
Not stupid at all if you never have worked on it before. Even the pro has to search it down the first time. It took me a good while to find the low side on the Focus, which is on the accumlator UNDER THE RIGHT HAND FENDER... LOL And the Lincoln LS V8 which is accessed under the vehicle on the refrigerant line just outside the compressor.Sheesh gotta love it!
I'm jsut glad that the low and high pressure are different sizes lol....You would think they would put the Low pressure one easier to access though. I must of looked all over that fire wall too yesterday. Must of just missed it.
Thanks guys!!!! Great forum!!!
