"The Mule" ? about tail gate

Just to see if any of yall has done a custom tailgate for your trucks that function like the oem tailgate ( open close and latches)my old man used to have a 91 bricknose f150 that had one setup for a fith wheel and it looked good, the center of the gate had a small door that was removable. It was made of 1"x1" square tubing with some wire mesh that was 1/4 thick . Im currently undecided if i should go oem on the tail gate or make my own. If any of you have pics of custom tail gates post some pics, or try to talk me out of a custom tailgate.;-) hope not

This is the one I have. Dont know if thats what your talking about, but it does open, and latch shut.

By the way my bottle jack died, and I needed to change a tire lol
