Depends on what your going to do with the truck but I think I would stay with the 390. Even if you rebuilt it, it's still a drop in and no extra mounts, brackets ect.

Just a thought. Considering the time it has not run, have you changed fuel in the tank? Better now, than after the new fuel pump. I have had bad fuel, after a year.

HIO Silver, if I had the cash i would, that would be soo cool.

coloradotrk, I am thinking that also. Once I rebuild the original carb, I will run the fuel line from a gas can to get the engine running. I want to remove the in cab fuel tank, and just use the under bed fuel tank, but I want to drop, clean and seal that one first, also need to get a new sending unit.
