First Time, Long Time
The title refers to all the time I've spent on this particular forum and that this is my first post. Thanks to a lot of good information received from this forum and other's on this site, I finally went down to the dealership Friday and ordered my 2016 F250 XLT 6.7 4x4 FX4 Magnetic CCSB with the 5th wheel hook up and a few other accessories I thought were necessary. I will finally be moving on from my 1997 Chevy. The dealer says 8-10 weeks which seems appropriate since they are a pretty big dealer. Of course with 3 kids on 3 different soccer teams and the boy is also playing fall baseball, the weeks should go by fast. This truck will be like having a new baby in the family and I'm going to make it last for 20+ years. My old man was giving me a hard time due to the fact that the diesel upgrade in my truck cost more than he spent on his brand new 1975 ford f250 super cab back in the day, which still owns. I can't think of any questions I should ask regarding the receiving of my new truck, but I welcome thoughts and opinions from you guys. Thanks and talk to you in the future.

Congrats on the new truck!!! It should be a beauty when you get it. Just a little advice here.....read, read, and re-read the diesel engine supplement when your truck shows up. And some more good reading to pass the time till it gets here is the tech folder in this section on the 6.7 PSD! There is a host of good information there! Good luck to you!!!

Good advice on the reading your manual (which I've not yet done*) - in about 20 years? I'm sure one day it'll bite me.
* One exception, several years ago I couldn't find the 4 way flasher button (Honda RidgeLine) - turns out it was a black button on a black display w/ a small but very dark red triangle printed on it.

Congratulations on the order! Magnetic is an awesome color. My second favorite actually... I've got a big chunk of magnetic I tow behind my truck...
