I wasn't able to find a Bluetooth OBD2 device for my iOS devices. All the BT devices I found also said "android only" or something similar. Bought a wifi OBD2 that works ok. It's a bit of a pain to connect since I have to manually disconnect from my wifi and then connect to the adapter's wireless. When I'm connected to the adapter my phone or tablet is essentially off-line.

You can get a pretty good Android phone with bluetooth from Walmart for about $50. I would just buy one so you have a dedicated phone to use for gauges. I use my old LG optimus from about 2011. It worked great in my old truck too.
I downloaded the forescan app on the iPhone and used it, but eventually bought the edge insight. Shame ford does not give us this info from the factory.
I have an iPhone 6 and have it synced with the truck via Bluetooth so I can use the voice commands. If I buy an android phone with the obd adapter and gauge app and communicate via Bluetooth, will it mess with my iPhone and the sync voice commands?

I thought that there was an OBD-II WiFi dongle that worked with the iPhone/iPad... I ran out of play money so I never bought it - plus I still have a ScaN Gauge 2 unit that I've not yet tried...

I use my phone connected to sync via BT at the same time as my tablet connected to the ODB adapter via BT and have had zero issues.
By the way if anyone is looking at the "list" on my buddy Craig's website I would recommend the Nexus 7 2013 model. Good size and hardware and quick os updates.
i am no authority on this subject but here is my opinion. if you have your phone connected via bluetooth to SYNC ( ford phone system) it cant be connected via bluetooth to the obdII device or any other device at the same time. due to this, i researched here and the other forum for hours trying to find what would work for me.
what i decided on was (from amazon) "IDEAPRO Black Plastic ELM327 WIFI OBD2 II Wireless Interface ". it connects to my android samsung note 3 via wifi. works fine using torque pro app from google play store. at same time this is running my phone is connected to ford SYNC via bluetooth for using the phone. two different types of wireless signals from phone to two different systems on the truck running simultaneously.
never drank the digital apple juice. cant the eyephone do this? bluetooth and wifi at the same time?
im still trying to figure out which PID's or parameters in torque pro works with the 2015 6.7 engine. some do and some dont. but this is in the torque pro software and how it works with the ford 6.7 software. nothing directly related to bluetooth or wifi.
