Angry 5.0L Upper Intake Removal

There is a hidden screw in middle under the overhanging side. Haynes manual doesn't say what it is. Torx or allen? Can't see it on a van but I can feel it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Torx.

Easiest way to get it is with a torx bit on a 1/4" ratchet with a LONG extension.
Has to be 1/4", 3/8 extension won't fit through the gap. (I'm assuming your intake is the same as mine and has that 'split' down the middle).

Took me awhile to find that thing on my truck. My Chiltons diagram was so bad it didn't even show it.

Thank you very much! Yes it has the split. Broke many a part when I was younger on hidden bolts and screws. Manuals are great but sometimes all they say is remove manifold. Thanx again.

Got it off. T-40 torx and 3 short 1/4" extentions, 1/4" ratchet. Next time I swap engines on a van I'm pullin the body off! Gotta be easier ha ha.
