Torque only needs a bluetooth connection to your obd2 adapter, nothing else. There are some features that need internet but that's to record stuff. Not needed most of the time.
Nope.
Data is saved to an SD card, not on the internet.
I'll get it up soon. It's been a rough weekend. Wife was sick and I had to deal with both of my son's USAF recruiters trying to pawn bull***** jobs off on them. I've lived much of my adult life away from my family and friends and didn't want the same for them, so I had to intervene.
At least one of the two problems are fixed. One of my sons will be entering Nuclear Missile Maintenance and the other will be a Technical Applications Specialist.
As for the video, I'll outline it from start to finish and try to use every single option I can. I don't have the rear camera connected yet, as I'm trying to rig something up to put the camera on the back of my TT.
All that aside, my unit is a dual-core and the newest ones are quad core and are much faster than mine. Mine is no slouch by any means, everything is fluid and nothing ever crashes.
I've been really looking at these units for my Challenger every since I saw this thread. I did a best offer and it came back $245 shipped. Not bad IMO for all the features. Only issue is that with my car I'll have to spend about $100 for a CANBUS adapater and wiring harness. But that's $100 I'd have to spend on any aftermarket radio, so moot point.
I miss how easy it is to install a radio into the X!

I was in Best Buy this weekend and asked the electronics guys if they had Android radios. He showed me a Kenwood and said this is the one he had. I said can you download apps via wifi? He looked at me like I was crazy and said no. It comes with apps downloaded and you have to use those. Pleas correct me if I am wrong, but I thought you could download apps like on your phone.
Sound kind of like the pioneers app radio. They are pretty limited on what apps you can actually use and they are generally proprietary to the manufacturer.

I'll get it up ASAP.
I noticed all of these have 1GB of RAM. You ever run into low memory issues? Most android phones now have 2 or 3 GB of RAM , some even 4 GB.
Other than that, pretty tempting and you get a lot for the price !

I've personally not run into any RAM issues. It's not like you're going to be playing any games on this while driving anyway. I can simultaneously use Torque, Google maps, the radio app and search for things on urbanspoon and never encounter a problem.
Am I right to assume in reading the site about the outputs of the unit, you can hook up a 4 channel amp to this bad boy?
I'm a little confused about the fact they have a whole ford section (thought none specifically say Superduty f250/350/excursion etc).
Which ones have you guys been running?
Many Ford vehicles use the same type of radio. I believe ours (2003-2014) use the same as the Mondeo, but don't quote me on it. Let me do some homework.
