Anytime a battery has been setting up for a significant time, I would suggest that a full charging of the battery is in order. Average or short distance driving typically does not keep a battery fully charged. Especially if the truck has been in service for a couple of years and not driven on a regular basis. Anytime you suspect an electrical issue the best thing to do is make sure the battery is fully charged, terminal and clamps properly cleaned and then have a load test performed.
