C6 to AOD
I have a 1988 Bronco EB 5.8efi with the C6(now trash) and I also have a 1985 thunderbird and I would like to know some codes to figure out if the transmission is compatable with my Bronco so I know that the transmission is an overdrive of some sort and I have a feeling its the AOD tranny but I'm not sure please help!! I have to get my truck running before school starts...

C6 to AOD
An AOD will bolt up to the engine ok. The AOD will have the wrong output shaft and extension housing for your transfer case. It might be easier to just fix or replace the C-6. You would also have to work out the throttle pressure linkage hookup to your throttle body and driveshaft changes.
