Clutch push rod

Does anyone know if the clutch master cylinder push rod is the same length and diameter as the brake master cylinder push rod?

Thanks

What year is the truck? 1957 is one year only, 1958/60 is different.

Thanks for the reply and the part numbers. However, I am having a problem locating the part. There are several Obselote parts houses, and I can't find the clutch push rod at any of them!

C0TT-7A541-A = CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 1 = 800-476-9653.

Go the obsolete parts website: rearcounter.com, type this part number into the box, Carpenter comes up.

If you can't find one, let me know. I'm swapping to an auto & already have my clutch assy pulled & I'd be happy to send you the rod.

Wow, I guess I came to the right place. I joined because I cant find parts, or part numbers, or even find a picture most times. you guy's are talking about the clutch rod..... any info on the clutch slave rod ? I took over some one else's tranny swap, on a 1960 f-100. most of the parts were there. but the one's that aren't, have been a long process to find. I can't even find a drawing, or a picture of the slave cylinder rod.

Welcome to the fridge forum!

Is this the rod you are looking for? If so the second pictures shows C0TT-7A507-A as the part number?

Numberdummy is THE man when it comes to parts and parts numbers (he worked for Ford for years). But he is not always watching this forum, so you could be waiting for his help or for someone else to help out. What I did was buy the Ford parts catalogs and illustrated guides on CD (you can pick them up on EPAY) The illustrated is nice to see the exploded view and then you can take that number the the parts book and find the full parts number. Sometimes when you plug the parts number in to the web for a search, you get lucky and find the part or a discussion on it.
Number dummy has these tools and more, for searching out NOS parts!

Good luck on your project!

I had no idea that you could still get the parts catalog, and oh yea the illustrated would be an awesome help. I will check that out. Again, thanks to both of you. It seems trying to find parts has dragged this project out longer than I had hoped, it's nice to get back into moving forward.

thanks, mark

Byrd.Dog, I am looking for the rod from the Clutch slave cylinder to the clutch fork for my 1960 F100. If you are taking the manual trans parts off your truck, do you have one for sale?

Here is what you are looking for:

The rod is 6 3/4" long, end to end. It is 11/32" in diameter with a 3/8" x 24 thread. I am sure there are way more nuts on this than needed. I pulled it out of my 292 for the picture. I wish I had an extra to send you.
