Need a little guidance Please!

Hey everyone!

I have a 2002 Excursion 7.3l. I feel it is about time to upgrade her sound system a little. I'm not looking for competition quality or looking to thump so hard the cops in the dunkin donuts the next town over can hear me, just want to fill my cabin up and really enjoy the music when I crank it up.

I am no stranger to installing this stuff and am very comfortable doing all the wiring. It's been a few years, so I might be a little rusty/out of the loop with what's out there, so I come to you guys for some guidance!

So far I've picked the following:

Head Unit - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...A1AUFI5NHGNZ61

I definitely want the single DIN flip out. I dont want to have to dremel my dash to make a double DIN fit, nor do I want to call too much attention to a double DIN unit and have my window broken over it

AMP - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...A3LLMZ9K72U9P2

I always liked Rockford Fosgate. She treated me well in my last 2 setups I did years ago, and it never let me down! One Amp for my door speakers and Sub is perfect as there will be less gear to physically install in the truck.

RCA Cables - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I feel those cables will do the job for me, and they have excellent reviews. One cable to handle the 4 channels for the doors, and 2 channel cable for the sub.

Door speakers - Already changed all my speakers to Kicker 6 x 8 2 channel 250 watt 4 ohms speakers. I got them at a steal, and I think just having installed them improved the sound in my cabin!

Cap - I know my truck already has 2 batteries, but I figured adding a cap would be good. Years ago, I installed a batcap in my truck (for those that are familiar with it) and I never had a dimming issue. I planned on installing the bat cap under the hood somewhere, and then running the 4 gauge wire from the cap to the amp (less stuff in the cabin itself I feel will lead to a cleaner looking install. I planned on using the driver side battery to "tap" into.

Now this is where I really could use some input guys!

1. What Dual Subs would you recommend? I see a lot on amazon but not 100% sure which is best for my application. Since this amp can support 2 sub outs, Figure why not, 2 10's or 2 12's.

2. What amp wire kit do you recommend? I was planning on running a 4 gauge from the battery to the amp. Just not sure which kit is best. I see prices all over the place and know there is a quality difference, I just don't want to over pay or get a crappy wire.

I'm looking forward to any input you guys can provide!

It will greatly be appreciated!
