Why up-pipes?

If your truck is still running factory up-pipes, then they're probably leaking. Leaking up-pipes rob the turbo of flow, which essentially lowers HP, increases EGT's, lowers boost, and (as some would suggest) lowers your fuel mileage.
There are other factors involved, but these are the big ones IMO.
