park brake cable

so yesterday after i got done with work i noticed that i had a line or cable hanging down from the truck, it looked like the back brake line but on further inspection i found it to be the parking brake!! Im not sure if it got snagged on something and broke or if it rusted through because it must have drug across the pavement for a few miles as it was worn down and shiny. i will get some pictures hopefully tonight and upload them but i dont see how you would fix or replace it, it didnt just break the cable it broke the steel tubing around the cable as well and broke off flush with the back of the brake drum.

1985/96 F150:

F6TZ-2A635-BB (replaced E5TZ-2A635-A & F2TZ-2A635-E) .. Right Rear Parking Brake Cable / Available from Ford.

F6TZ-2A635-BA (replaced E5TZ-2A635-B & F2TZ-2A635-F) .. Left Rear Parking Brake Cable / Available from Ford.

Rear cables are shown as 2A635 in pic.

They are not that hard to replace.

I think I used the Haynes manual for additional information when I did the ones on my previous truck (a '94).

The brake drum has to come off, so you can check out your brake shoes while you're at it.
