I have a couple of saved searches at Autotrader.com that sends me an email whenever a Explorer, Ranger, or Thunderbird comes up for sale within 500 miles of me. Only certain years of those models of course. Anyway, today I get an email for two explorers, neither of which has any pictures. I never bother to look at the ads with no pictures because most the time they have no price listed either. Makes no sense to me to post an ad to sell a vehicle without a picture or price. Always dealers that do that too. That makes even less sense.
Anyway, usually below the featured vehicle is a few pictures of vehicles Autotrader "thinks" I might be interested in. Today, there were four 2015 Ford -F150 pickup trucks, from four different dealers. And all four of them were priced from the lowest of 67k all they way up to 77k! And the interesting thing about that highest one is that they state the MSRP is $56k. A 21k markup? I know new cars/trucks are expensive, but I never thought a Ford F-150 would be selling for $77k. It is not even the King Ranch version. And a $21k markup seems like pure greed to me. I have never been in the market for a new vehicle as my income wouldn't allow it, however, even when I had that big settlement check, I talked myself out of buying new because of the huge depreciation phenomenon. However, even back then, I remember pricing an F-350 on the Ford website just for the heck of it, and it was around $58k when I was done selecting options. And I thought that was ridiculous back then. Two years later an F-150 is selling (or actually trying to be sold, who knows if it will sell at that price.) for $77k. Unreal. Maybe I have lost touch with reality as far as vehicles prices go, but it seems to me these prices are way too high.
Wow better be a few gold bricks in the truck for that price , still here guys just been real buzzy getting things done, starting the front paint on dads house then some touch up, so I can get this place on the Market, really not looking forward to working out in 1000 deg heat but , I'll manage.have a good one
The newest vehicle I had ever owned was 4 years old, and it was one of the worst vehicles I ever owned. It was a 1973 Plymouth Duster. Of course, it was after I bought it that I found out from a friend that it had been drag raced (on the track, not street) and beat up pretty good. So it was not the car's fault. That was the closest to new I have ever had.
I can vouch for the top two. It did get me to the store real fast (when it was running) and it had a knack for attracting cops. Kind of hard not to when it had a 7 inch snorkel hood scoop and 12.5 inch wide rear ties on it. However the k-member was cracked and even after I replaced it (I was taking automotive classes at Cypress JC at the time) the one I replaced it cracked within 6 months. And the previous owner left the high lift cam in it, but swapped out the drag racing rear end gears for some freeway gears, so by the time the engine was in its power band, the car was shaking so bad I had to slow down. LOL.

Aluminum not gold. Bet that's where the price comes from.
And all this time I thought aluminum was cheaper than steel. Guess not. Going to have to have a talk with my high school teachers about that. Assuming any are still alive. LOL.
Howdy all, wanted to ask a flavor. Going through our logo process and these are the first 3 our designer came back with. Can I get a vote of which ones ya like? Or if you don't like any? Thanks in advance!
Joe, I like #3 but would drop "company" and shorten it to " Co" . Just my opinion tho. How many employees are you using? Wish you the best.
