Today has been 7 years since my Dad passed away. Don Outler - Dono here on the forum - loved his truck and loved talking, joking and ribbing his buddies here.
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. When Dad died and I posted to let y'all know, people responded with the most wonderful messages, 12 pages of messages. People offered prayers and well wishes to our family but, even more precious, they shared memories and funny stories and posts about Dad and by Dad.
I just wanted to say that during that difficult time, NOTHING gave me more comfort at the time than reading what people wrote here.
Never think that a little bit of simple kindness doesn't matter because it can matter more than you know.
That's good to hear Kristi. We still miss him, as I know you do. Some of our older members still have your dad's quotes in their signatures. I always smile when I read one.
Wow. Just wow. SEVEN years. Seems like it was just yesterday. I guess if you were to look over my posts in the past 7 years you'd see your dad's effect on me.
My goodness Kristi, I was dove hunting on opening day and thought of your Dad. When we had lunch earlier in the year we had planned on hunting on my property in Delta County. I am so sorry that we never got that chance.
Thank you so much for updating. As stated, some folks still quote a few of his quips in their signatures.
When he comes to you in your dreams, please mention that Keith says "Hi".
