Im trying like hell to get my car running for it lol. Ive noticed some threads here where all the FTE guys get together at cruising the coast. Is that happening this year? I'd like to walk through and shake some hands.

Memphis (area) guy here wondering what to expect at the CTC. I see you can't wait until 9/7 to try and get a room. Is it worth while to stay in Wiggens and drive in? Maybe drive past to Mobile and come back?

 

Yeah, it gets a bit harder each year to get close late. Wiggins is closer, but the drive down has got a lot of stop lights. Any place along I-10 will give a better shot to our location. We found a place around the airport late a year or so back but didn't use it. Kind of a rough area. There seems to be a lot of cancellations there. You could try a non-traditional lodging like Air BNB or VRBO (vacation rentals by owner)

Hope all had a great Labor Day. We're on Perdido Key near Pensacola rather than our usual Alligator Point for vacation/anniversary. Going to the Naval Air Museum today. When I lived here I somehow never made it there.

Got to see the Blue Angels twice & got a couple decent pics. Saw a couple baby jar head pilots, so help me looked 13 & 15. Obviously they got the "right stuff" otherwise they wouldn't be there, God bless em'.

Talked trash..er I mean stuff with Gator on the way back while he oversaw the digging & concreting of a big hole. Kind of wish we'd stopped for a look.

At last check the SEC & top 25 rankings had a few holes being drilled in it.

Little bit of sprinkles this AM. Need some steady rain though. We're 8 inches of rain behind since July & our water bill shows it.

Did the junkyard thing this weekend & still trying to de-bug my truck.

Its been dry down here too! I get crazy rain at work though (Kenner, La). Im ready for CTC on one but on the other I am not because my car isn't done.
