September BS thread!
John, I don;t think anything at Mohegan sun is cheap! A few weeks back, I was outside my house and up in the sky they had about 4 or 5 planes flying over head writing "Hot summer fun at Mohegan Sun" for as far as the eye could see!
I checked the coolant level last night before going to bed in the rain and it's still full. So I'm guessing that it's a slow leak right now. I will probably go with the Mishimoto. It seems to be the best way for the long run. I posted on the 6.7 and one suggested to contact Crystal (Ford rep) that she helped a guy with the same mileage get it done for a normal deductible of a warranty without one. Would be a lot cheaper but for how long?

That's cool about the planes flying over advertising Mohegan Sun. Boy do they have money to burn.

Early congrats Andy on your anniversary. Man how time fly's.
Wow this moving process was a disaster. The folks at Rogovin Moving and Storage out of New London clearly didn't give a crap about any of our stuff and there's lots of damage. The outfit that hauled it all out here was from southern California, and their company couldn't line up any labor to help unload yesterday. The two guys who were here were fantastic, but they were seriously overwhelmed and left at 10:00 last night after piling much of our stuff in the garage. We felt bad for them, it was supposed to be a 4- or 5-person job.
Good luck with Ford Customer Service John. I've never heard of them offering assistance to someone who didn't buy a truck new, but I sincerely hope you'll be the first.
Some thing I have noticed today. Last night I checked the coolant level and it was at the cold level exactly. This morning checked and the same. Drove from Eastford to Newington checked was 2 inches above the cold line. Checked under the truck and nothing only the air conditioning drip. Drove back to Eastford and the level was 2 inches above the cold line. parked the truck and 2 hours later checked and it was at the cold line. Wondering if it was a mistaken by the air conditioning drip. Will call and recheck with Ford as to were they actually saw the leak and how bad was the leak.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts

Crazy thing, I sold it to a guy who had bought it back in 1993 in north carolina then brought it up to MA and then sold it around 2005. Was really cool that it's going back to one of it's original owners.
Mixed emotions about selling it, but I am extrememly glad that it's gone after hearing what he was telling me about the truck. His stories confirmed a few hunches I had about the truck. First one was that the motor had been rebuilt at some point, he told me it indeed was, the nice looking core plugs had gave it away for me.
The not so good confirmation about a previous suspicion that it had been in an accident at some point was indeed confirmed by him. He said a car had pulled out in front of him and he wrecked them, and that the front end was never right after that. I had guessed this after noticing that none of the body panels on the front end lined up quite right and the thought of an accident with frame damage crept back into my head a while ago when the alignment shop had it and were having such a hard time aligning the truck.
I didn't get any way near my asking price, but after learning about the history of the truck, and him being there with cash, it was much easier to say good bye and wash my hands of it. I'm to honest of a person to not tell someone that truck was in an accident now knowing those facts and that the frame was tweaked, no way I could sell that to someone and not mention it and then that would drive the price down even more.
If I would have known that, I wouldn't have bought the truck and put so much work into it over the years, it's kinda of upsetting a bit. Just took the money and ran! I think I may be lost a total of $1500 on the project after selling it, not bad for 6 years of ownership so I'll count that as a won for now!
None of those facts would have bothered me though. A fresh(er) engine is typically a good thing in a truck that old, and as long as it drove fine the accident wouldn't have bothered me. Stuff happens, and the only trucks in perfect condition are those which haven't left the dealer's lot for the first time.

Bittersweet for sure, it was a great project, it'll make the next one easier! Im thinking early 80's bronco at some point
