Good morning Jim, Dave and the rest of the gang.

Welcome to Monday! Yuck!

Anyone know the best way to get rid of Crabgrass? I noticed it lately and want to stop it before it takes over.

Good morning Cory. Try dog pee, usually kills the grass you want to grow.

Tom - one thing about this group, they're not shy about helping you spend your money...
The Chevy trucks drive really nice and they had some good pricing when I looked at them.
I could not bring myself to test drive a Dodge truck..
Thanks to our tax dollars

Diesel fuel and a lighter should take care of the crab grass

Probably not the roots though

A nice 6" concrete slab should do it

Good morning everyone.

I'm a little surprised with Chris' and Randy's water intrusion issues. In the past I've read that the roof on lots of RVs is guaranteed for life. Does that not include being water tight?

The roof membrane is warranted not the water damage that a leak causes.

It is usually a seam that leaks not the membrane itself.

Good Monday morning guys!

This is my last Monday!!! YA!!!!!!

I did not have any water intrusion issues with my roof that I am aware of. The roofs of the slides are another story.. The rest of the water issues on these come from the bottom up and from windows leaking.
Lifetime is almost laughable with campers.. I think they are built to last maybe five years before major repairs have to be done.

Mine was leaking seams.

After 16 years this is the only thing I have had to do on the camper other than brakes and tires.

Crabrass comes back from seed not adult plants so just use crabgrass preventer in the spring. Or treat it with a crabgrass killer now if it's really bugging you. Local hardware store should have that.

So what kind of caulk should I be getting for doing the roof seam on the camper?

I use Dicor Lap Sealant.. It's not cheap, but from all my research, it is the best.. I seal up joints and screws first with a little Butyl Caulk and then put the lap sealant over the top of that..

Amazon.com: Dicor 501LSW-1 Lap Sealant - 10.3 oz.: Home Improvement Amazon.com: Dicor 501LSW-1 Lap Sealant - 10.3 oz.: Home Improvement

Note that you can find it a bit cheaper even on Amazon, but you have to dig around a little.
The last stuff that I bought came from Tweety's RV via Amazon..

---edit--- make sure all surfaces are super clean. Rubbing alcohol clean at a minimum. Laquer thinner is even better but be careful because it can lift paint...
