HEY I GOT A BIG WITH LAWN ORNAMENT TODAY!!!
LOL just kidding.. but she did sit there all afternoon.. Did a little maintenance on Jezebel today.. After the water was discovered in the tranny ive since been curious about if any managed to get into the rear end.. So today I put her on my Redneck lift..
when i popped the inspection plug not only did i find the magnet loaded with filings (REALLY hoping its just from break in and not the bearings...).. but also the gear oil was like it was when i popped them on the truck after getting it...
Chocolate milk...
So that meant doing the one thing i HATE!!!! to work on when it comes to cars and trucks..
popped the cover off and out came the nasty... I swear why cant they make this stuff smell better...
couple cans of brake cleaner later and shes all clean..

unfortunately someone apparently threw out my new tube of black RTV.. so had to make a trip to THE ZONE!!! bought 6 cans of brake parts cleaner and new tube of RTV.. back home to work on the car some more... Thought about buying more gear oil but figured i still had 2 bottles left over from doing the truck.. book for the stang called for 80w-90... truck took 75w-90 LS formula.. dont figure itll hurt the stang with a 5w difference and being formulated for LS when shes not a LS..
book also said she was only supposed to take 1.5L... she took 2...
