Please help, I have a 2003 Excursion 6.0 with edge juice with attitude
While driving first thing in the morning runs like a champ, as the engine warms up I start seeing the exhaust temps lower to 88-94, then I start getting over boost code with monitor reading of 41psi, then the Edge monitor screen will go blank, then the STALL... The excursion with start right back up but the shut off immediately. Wait 20-30 minutes in the shade and will start back up and run again poorly missing almost like turning the key off and back on... Then the next morning start all over again. Any ideas ????
I'm thinking bad FICM or bad PMC over heating.. ??
is the juice with attitude the one thats plugged into everything, or just the OBDII port?
your best bet will be to return to stock and start from there.
batteries and alternator are new have not been able to get ICP and FICM Reading at the point it dies, mainly trying to get off the side of the road... ha ha a little difficult with this big beast lifted on 35's... captured a lot of different readings when restarted and died again... voltage 78 Boost 102 FICM V 14.4-93.6 very odd readings that don't make much since, thinking either a short, ground issue, bad PCM, bad FICM just very odd readings RPM 10072 things like that. curious if anyone had any ideas before I throw a couple hundred out for a PCM.
I would suspect the problem may be with what you are reading it with.
Those are all strange numbers for what you are reading sensor wise.
FICM's go out more often than PCM's but they do go out. Maybe 1 pcm to 10 FICM.
again, with those readings i would remove the edge and return to a stock program so you have a known base to start with.
Review his post #3.
OP, Have you checked for codes? Can you monitor sync? Monitor both Cam/Crank sync and PCM/FICM sync. See if it's losing one or the other or both. Also, next time it does it, try unplugging EBP sensor and then try to restart it.
