48 crash box speedometer cable replacement

How do I get the speedometer cable out? Do I have to remove the drive shaft and emergency brake?

Thanks for the help!

If you pull the clevis pin on the hand brake that will let you get a pair of long handled pliers in there. Also, bulb remover and spark plug boot pliers work well. While you're at it, I would also straighten that hand brake linkage - looks quite bent up.
