T-19/BW 1345 Swap into a 69 F100 4WD?

Thinking about doing this. I have a line on a transmission and t-case out of an 84 diesel.

Has anyone put one of these into a bumpside? Does the early '80s T-19 mate to an FE bell housing?

Are there alignment issues between the BW 1345 and the Dana 44?

While I'm at it, I don't need to swap out the t-case if a 4WD T-19 will marry to a Dana 21. Any one try that?

IIRC a T-19 is basically the same dimensionally as a T-18. Measure the 1345 TC as to width. You have a 33 1/2" wide frame so it might be too wide, but NP-203/205's were put in Dent F-250's up to 77, so if it is the same or narrower than a 205, it should fit. As to the Dana 21, I would chuck it as it is only a 1 speed TC.
Go to Advance Adapters and check out the T-18/NP-435 swap into EB's using the Bronco D-20. A D-21 is just like a D-20 IIRC.

Rich,

I agree the Dana 21 is not much use, but I don't really need much. It is a pavement truck these days. Mostly interested in shredding tires.

I'll crawl under and see how it would fit. The only specs I could find on the BW 1345 show it to be 23 inches wide, about 5 inches more than an NP 205.

I'm hoping we have an expert out there who knows this stuff. I'd like any combo of a T-19 and t-case that will fit easily.

I have a feeling the bolt pattern is different. The 7086 gasket that goes between the married T/C and tranny is a different part number between a Bump (Dana) and the 84 (NP). The 84 takes the same gasket as a Dent.

Thanks guys. Not a lot of knowledge out there about the F100 4WD, there were very few of them.

I think I can make a T19 and BW 1345 work, but am looking for some details on the size of the BW 1345. The info I have on it is a little suspect, claims it is 17.25 inches long (assume this means front to back), 23 wide, and 12 high. The Dana 21 is 7 inches long (not including the yokes), 8 tall, and 16 wide (based on my measurements).

That is a LOT bigger, but I might be able to make it work. Have to buy it to find out.
