Now you have gone and done it.
You have put your run for president, in jepordy.
The five or six votes you have campaigned for are probably lost.
I'm sorry, I must pull my endorsement of you for the presidency.
Wanting a chebby is not politically correct.
Dono, you must lie or use the clinton defense and bomb an aspirin factory.
You have to draw attention away from this error in judgement.
I'm sorry, but I can't stand that show. I love to watch whatever I can about truck repair and mods, but this isn't teaching us or enlightening anybody. First of all, you only get to see about 5 minutes of what to do to a truck, the next 15 minutes of the show is actual TV commercials , and then the host spends 10 more minutes mentioning the sponsors and companies that gave him the parts. THe show is totally unrealistic and the average garage mech couldn't even afford to buy the rims for the copperhead let alone everything else from frame on up.
The truck itself is a nice looking truck, but how often do you see that kind of work in your town? That truck was built by the companies that gave the host and his army of mechs free parts.
If he even got one grease spot on his perfect shirts I would start to get interested. What craPPe!*
You said it right my brother, That woman I forget her name but in all honestly she isn't that great looking either who host the power block and Trucks..I do watch the show when I see it on tv...Wife thinks I am crasy lol...
But all I hear from them is Jeg's,Edelbrock,WyoTech,or anything else they bought...Shoot half of us couldn't afford all that stuff..
Willowbilly you are right! I have always loved tech shows on cars and trucks but right now we are getting slim pickings. I used to like the Last Chance garage show, those two guys kind of got in under the car and showed you a few tricks. Right now I'll settle for trucks and hope someone can come up with a more hands on approach and slow it down a little.
I will allow the rotten veggies to be thrown at me. Yes, that Copperhead is a damn nice truck. I appreciate any vehicle that has time and energy put into it (does not count the four banger rockets). Its all about the classic American styling.
Yeah 924 I know what you mean. I will watch monster trucks just to be watching something automotive and I think they are just a circus act. I have about as much respect for the sport as I do all-star wrestling.
I guess if you are a gear head a lame car show is better than none at all.
I stoped watching those shows for the same reason I don't buy Hot Rod anymore- old men with too much money, that are way out of touch with what the average person can really do. Most of there project cars/trucks would be a once in a life time car for most of us. I did watch horse power tv (i do love mopars) to see him put the fuel cell in the baracuda. But when he started droping the proably $5k+ in trim parts on it, please! I don't know anyone who would have the money to do all that at once (not that they don't exsist). Something you guys should check out- http://www.grassrootsmotorsports.com . They have a chalenge each year where the total budget of the car can only exceed $2004 dollors ($2004 in 2004, $2003 in 2003, $2002 in 2002 and so on). Most of the cars are imports but all are low budget real cars. This year ($2003 challenge) a 302ci powered Miata won. Any way, thats my rant.
TRUCKS is an okay show, i like to see what kind of new stuff they have out on the market these days just so i can just dream it in my bronco. but in all seriousness, those trailer queens they have on the show probably havent even seen, or will ever see, dirt 3 times in their life, or pavenment in that matter. what im saying is, take those ornaments out of the magazines and off the tv, because what makes off-roading a lasting and growing legacy is the real trucks, the ones that can take a beating, the ones that dont mind dirt, the ones that have a dent. they are the real trucks of today, they are the real superheros of off-road.
If you want to see some real 4x4s there are a couple good magazines that show guys getting them on the side or top rock crawling ect. I can't remember which ones are best because I only get them when the library throws them out. There are some lame publications that have jacked up chebbys with everything chromed and the action picture has it parked with one tire on a small rock
