This project has been a long time coming. It started about four years ago. A simple job of adding a power steering system to this 52 turned into a nightmare but having to raise the motor because the gearbox and manifold could not be in the same place. It's really close now...
IMHO it might have been a lot easier to install a set of block hugger headers to your CSB to clear the box. (I have a CSB and Toy steering box in my 56 panel, but the F1 frame is narrower) my only clearance issue was the rear header pipe and the OEM Toy return line hose fitting were nearly touching. I solved that issue by using a set of Gottashow Gotta Show Products Home Page Featuring Hot Rod Plumbing stainless braid PS hoses with their exclusive low profile clockable banjo fittings for Toy PS boxes.
On my friend Gary's F1 with Ford 4.6 3V engine install we had to build a custom mount for the box, (the guy who had been making them for Classic Haulers and Mid Fifty had "disappeared" and they weren't sure if or when they would have more), shifted the engine 1" to the pass side for clearance room and had to make up a prototype drivers side header for Sanderson to use to make a custom block hugger style header specifically for his build.
