Parking brake control valve.
I have a 1985 F700 with the Lucas Girling brake system. My local Ford dealer can't help because the system only goes to the F550. I'm hoping someone can give me a part # for the parking brake control valve. When I did a Google search I found a valve for a 1991-1998, but I don't know if it is the same one as mine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Here are the 2 pages that list all the 'valves' for 1980/89 600 and larger series trucks. I don't see any that meet the criteria.
Suggest you call Green Sales Co. for assistance: 513-731-3304.

Thanks Bill. I wonder if I don't have the right name for the part. The number I found for the 1991-1998 part is F1HZ2K806A. I will definitely call Green Sales. Thanks again.

E5HZ-2K806-C from 6/85* may be what you want, since it says model 81 which is a conventional cab / It's obsolete.
PARTS INTERNATIONAL in Farmers Branch TX has 8 = 888-727-0418.
Call Green Sales and verify the above part number. The valve used before 6/85* was replaced by multiple parts.
*Production date printed on Certification Label.

I'm wondering if you know anything about this mat #. I have tried some truck parts stores and they don't know what I am talking about either. My truck was built 11/ 84. The vin # is 1FDPF70H5FVA15581. Thanks for all your help.

The original (before production date 6/85) valve was Replaced By multiple parts (R/B MAT #86027).
MAT letters will be in the 1980/89 600/900 truck catalog on microfiche...which Green Sales should have.
Most dealers will have the MAT letters, but today...most parts guys don't want to mess with trucks this old, so they 'just shine you on.'

Bill thanks for directing me to this thread, my truck has hydraulic brakes, I called green sales and they was able to give a part number by the info I gave them on the truck but the part has been discontinued any recommendations on trying to have the part number crossed, part number is E5HZ2B257A

E5HZ-2B257-A .. Brake Pressure Differential Valve (some people call this a proportioning valve) / Obsolete
FYI: E2FZ-2B264-B .. Brake Pressure Differential Valve Warning Lamp Switch-threads into valve.
Look in this pic below the master cylinder for 2B257...is this what you want? The pic is 1983, but it's the only one that shows this valve clearly.

CONTROL VALVE PLUNGER! That's exactly what I was looking for rivaration, thank you! I didn't even know what to search for, and I sure as hell wasn't calling up my local shop and asking them if they had any parking brake thinga-ma-jiggies laying around.
