well, vacation is over, and wife dropped the bomb. Doesn't want to do this relationship anymore. Time to unload everything and start fresh.
the FW will go to consignment tomorrow.
I've added a lot of stuff to the Dually. Air tank, rancho shocks, airbags, aux tank. none of which a dealer will give me anything for.
So sorry to read this Sam.....
How long have y'all been hitched?
I don't give stuff away to dealers... Would rather take stuff off I guess, but then you either have to have a use for it or a pretty immediate market to sell them outright..
I would remove all aftermarket add on's and sell on c-list. Will help you get some of your money back. Several of us have been there before and understand what you're going through.

do I yank them off?
OMFG, that's awful Sam. So sorry to hear...
Although you probably aren't in any mood to start pulling mods and eBaying or craigslisting them, you'll wish you did once your head clears. Plow through and get it done. Half of something is better than all of nothing which is as you say, all you'll get from a dealer.
Sam...sorry to hear of this news. I'll raise a glass for you
Yank the goodies for sure is the right financial decision for sure. It may not be the best decision for Sam though. Do what you gotta do to keep going my friend
That's a lot of years to invest in a relationship only to have it turn south on you...
As a side note ....
It might be a good idea to sell that F100 to a really good friend very quickly....
years, yep.
yeh, the F100 (green 55 and red 56 big window, ready for paint, and the in progress 54 with Lincoln 5.4 32v) will have to go on the block too..
plus 2 shops full of tools and parts. and probably the house as well.
so far this is amicable.. she 'just wants to be happy'. (away from here/me)
Texas has a mandatory 60 day wait after filing.. oh joy..
still evaluating that.. don't know if there is enough cash without having to hit the IRA
I think I would look into taking a loan against my 401k before I would touch an IRA...
But as you said earlier - it's just stuff and stuff can be replaced...
I hope you can both find happiness again.....
