But I will keep your recommendation handy because I drag race and I am looking to move to that area so R&R might come in very handy. Thank you!
I was going to post an ebay seller that handles the triple disk billet TC for the 4r100 trans.

a somewhat local shop sells this brand and when i called to find out about them the guy just gushed over how they love them. Almost NO returns at all and they do a bunch of tuned 7.3, 6.0 trucks in there area, they are near the Air Force station in Goldsboro nc.
and at 600 bucks a hell of a deal.. he actually told me the price was $525 with tax if i picked it up at there shop.
hope the banks works out.. they tend to be a bit more pricey and not all that.
Here is the converter I went with.
Banks Power | 99-03 Ford - 7.3L Power Stroke>>Banks Billet? Torque Converter-E40D
It doesn't seem to say what the stall is, but I remember reading somewhere that Banks claims it to be 1,200 RPM. I am able to footbrake stall it to 1,600 which is no different than OEM. Although my truck is tuned and makes more power than stock. Not sure how much it affects the stall on this particular converter.
I just came back from a long trip towing around 14,000 pounds. I did notice the slippage is less than my old OEM converter, it actually went through the RPM's a little better instead of just sitting at a certain RPM when accelerating and waiting for the vehicle speed to just catch up. I run Amsoil Torque Drive so I didn't notice much of a temp drop. Maybe 5°. Running at 75 MPH I rarely get over 165°.
One thing that was noticeable was the fuel mileage. I've made this trip countless times in the past and almost every time I get between low to mid 10's. Once or twice I got high 9's but it's consistently in the low to mid 10 range. This trip I got between 11.1 and 11.6. Which I guess in a very long run might pay for itself with as much towing as I do. I never got in the 11's even when the truck was new so it's not really an indicator that the old converter was worn out.
Would I have bought this converter if I had more time? Probably not. I'm not big on paying for a name. But, I have no issues with it and it's doing the job it's supposed to do. Just looking at the two converters side by side it was obvious which one is more stout so I'm pretty confident it will probably outlast the transmission at this point. Although the OEM converter is pretty stout itself.
Even though it didn't fix my issue I'm happy that I have a fresh converter installed. The transmission is in pretty good shape and if the old converter finally decided to expire it would take the transmission with it. I've put that converter through some pretty hard abuse after 13 years and 175,000 miles, it was probably due for a new one eventually.
