Twe different people have told me that the SCT will turn off EGR. When I asked SCT tech support they said it only turns off the trouble code/CEL. Anyone know for sure?
It will turn it off but I was told its not good to turn it off because that will trap all that hot exhaust in the cooler and could make it rupture and to just let it do its thing or delete it.

Valve off = NO flow. Without flow all that heat goes out the tail pipe. You will get
some heating from the hot coolant. You get far more heat from the exhaust
gas flowing through the cooler.
Time to go back and study some gas and fluid dynamics. And Yes that was
