Back story, I live in GA and got my 05 f250 6.0 psd from a guy in NC drove back to GA with a minor hiccop on the way hard start at a gas station but got it started after a minute or two of cranking, made it home went to go out into town the next day made it to the exit of my development and I had no throttle stayed at idle shut it down then it wouldn't start, pulled the IPR cleaned and replaced screen, old one didn't look damaged did it because, pulled the STC fitting was relativly loose replaced it, still no start, did HPO chamber leak test and had no leaks, found some wires exposed ontop of the egr? Valve right behind where the intake meets the manifold taped them up and the truck starts. I have a scangauge 2 and everything seems to be running smoothly, but now I have no turbo, gauge on dash reads 0-5 psi and it only reads 5 wot and I mean red line, the scangauge reads 17 at idle and 25 wot, truthfully I don't hear the turbo at all like I did before the truck gave me my no start, I have sense discoved my exhaust back pressure is compleatly missing where it would screw in is snapped off and the plug is just chilling, the pipe is filled in with JB weld. What I need to know is can this cause my no boost/no turbo, and is there a way to jump the plug to make it think that the sensor is there? Any help would be awesome
Yes. Several factors help determine boost, sending the data to the PCM to spool up the turbo. EBP and MAP are two. Fix the down tube and also ensure the MAP rubber line is not cracked at the top of the pass side valve cover.
You should see when at koeo, EBP, MAP, and Baro to read relatively close.
If metering with a scan gauge or the like, ensure you are not comparing hg to psi.
