A bit of good news: I just got word that we have a signed contract to purchase the home we looked at 9 days ago. It should close on March 28, if all goes to plan.
Very VERY nice Doug! Nothing like some acreage to spread out on. Our only regret on our place is that the lot is smallish. Still big by city standards at 2.85 acres but not 10. My mom is up the road on 10 and it's just right. We have friends that have 80 and while more is better, most of it goes unused and unseen. 10 is the sweet spot for my taste. Whenever we look at land or houses to move to Maine, that's our number...
Howdy guys. Thank you for the compliments. We have 3 Tennessee Walkers, 2 quarter horses and 5 miniature horses that are our own that we have to keep up with, but will also be boarding up to 5 more horses as we get t set up on the property. We will build paddocks, shelters and stalls, as well as run water and electrical to each. It will take a little time to get to that point, but this is a good start.
Doug, when's the G2G One Page meet at your new house? Plenty of parking.. Full hookups?
Very nice house. My lot is about the size of your pond
On April 1. Everyone brings one case of beer, and grabs a box of something off of the moving truck on their way through the house to the back deck. Drop the box in the house on the way through and empty the case of beer into one of the wash tubs on the back deck, then go grab a horse and lead him around the perimeter of the property so he sees the fence line, then take off his halter and let him go. At that point, drag up a chair next to one of the wash tubs full of beer and grab a cold beer and a brisket sammich!
There is plenty of parking, but you may need to be on gennys and on board water. I'll have hookups down the road over the next few years.
