New Ujoints equals vibration
Ok so I replaced the rear axle U-joints and hanger bearing and now have a bad vibration. I marked every joint to ensure correct reinstall . Today I put the old hanger bearing back on to see if that changed anything and it didn't. Can someone take a pic of the rear shaft so I can see if something is different. I have a crew cab short box. I don't want to have the driveshaft rebalanced but I might have to. On a side note before I replaced everything the truck was smooth as silk...

Did you put greaseable joints in? If so, you will need to rebalance it. Did you use spicers? If not, rebalance it.

Take it in, there's the problem right there. I swapped from non to greaseable, all in spicer brand and had to rebalance it.

That's what I didn't want to hear, how much did it cost to have it balanced??

Every location is different. Here was $110 for a single shaft. It's more for a hanger style

Its crazy to think just because you change U-joints that you would have to rebalance...

You probably could have got away without rebalance if you would have put the spicer life series back in it.. When you put greaseable joints in vs non, you throw the balance off due to the zurks. You wouldn't think that little bit would make a difference but it does.
