About a year after I had my clutch replaced, I noticed tranny fluid dripping off my rear cross member. I don't drive the truck a lot and the leak subsides after sitting for a while. So I'm thinking that it is above the normal fluid level when at rest. I can't seem to locate it.
Today, I was having the oil changed at a fairly reputable brake/mechanic chain and the shop foreman mentioned the possibility of it being overfilled with an overflow port leaking. Never heard of that before, and the fluid level is about an 1/8" below the fill port.
Normal fill level is when you put your finger in the fill hole and feel fluid, which is exactly what you say yours is. It doesn't sound too full to me.
