Dana 44 question please
Hi there, is the 79 dana 44 axel the same with the 5bolt or 8 bolt hubs? ( both will be leaf spring mounted) And will the hubs interchange from 1 to another? I am looking at buying a 79 f250 s/c and have a 79 f150 s/c for parts if i need. Thanks for your help. Regards...

There are differences.
I have a '78 f150 d44 and a 77 f250 crewcab d44. The HD axle I got with the F250, has 3" Tubes while the f150 is smaller.
As for swapping out the hubs and stuff to swap between 5 and 8 bolt? Swap the steering knuckles outwards.
