I couldnt think of a smarter sounding title.

So heres the goal. Just picked up a 2000 f150 5.4 and i want to SVT it, minus the supercharger (too expensive, and i have an idea there)

But im not sure what the SVT has that a base doesnt, and what will be a direct fit. Throttle body, intake manifold, headers, cams, etc.

Also, has anyone mounted the air filter (a flat, oval style one) directly the throttle body? See any real benefit?

Now for the supercharger. I happen to have one from a super 6 tbird.
Obviously not manifold mounted.

If i could fabricate a bracket to mount it, could it provide? Ive heard it would actually HURT my performance rather than help, but thats hearsay.

Also, this isnt performance related but figured since im here, anyone happen to know if a brush guard for a 95 will mount to a 2000?
