i used to have a 1997 f150 with the 4.6L and i bought tbs for it. now i have a 1999 f150 with the 5.4. i took the tbs off my 97 hoping it would work on my new truck. everything seems to fit except for the mount. does anyone know where i can just buy the mounting part that extends the cable thing?

Welcome to the site. From all of the testing that I have seen or read about, these spacers really don't do anything. but you can install it if you want to. I would check with the company that made the spacer for whatever bracket you are needing.
Heres the thing with throttle body spacers, they are used to increase volume in the intake manifold. Now the thing is that the stock intake manifold on an f-150 has long narrow runners which allows for greater power at lower RPM. Increasing the volume in the manifold will slow down the air inside resulting in a slight power loss at max power RPM. Here is a site that will explain the scientific principle behind this: http://home.earthlink.net/~mmc1919/venturi.html
I have not personally tried this on my 1997 f-150, but to my knowledge they will not work as intended with the stock intake manifold. If I am wrong and someone has dyno proven results please correct me. Hope this helps!
