Went BOOSTED this round

After running the 5.0's for a while, the numbers were to good to pass up on a '15 F150 XLT, Sport package, FX4, 3.5 ecoboost, 3.55 gears, max tow, in ruby red. I can say that just in the last 2 days of driving, I'm pretty dam happy with the ecoboost and 3.55 gear combo, not to mention the weight reduction and handling. Loving the touch screen and all the options!

Congrats on the beauty! When you push them hard it's an amazing improvement in handling over the old bodies.

I'm pleased with mine too. Took a trip to AL last week, put over 1100 miles on it (nice break in trip), ride was very comfy and averaged 21.6 mpg. One thing I noticed, I was not getting much side push or pull when semis would go by. My former Expedition was terrible with push/pull. At first I was disappointed I didn't opt for the NAV system and electronic climate control, but after reading about others with the NAV, glad I didn't get it. Climate control would have been nice, the Expedition EB had it and I got spoiled. Will be doing some towing (8K) in about a month, anxious to see how it does. Towed on a short trip and it did fine. Was intrigued by the compression-engine brake.

Nice looking truck. Towing 8K will be a breeze for the EcoBoost.

I'm lovin my 2.7. Kills my 07 5.4. So far I'm getting 20.8 mpg in the city with under 300 miles. Windows have since been tinted. This is a screw xl fx4.<br/>

What mode are you guys driving the 3.5 in? I live in some hilly country and always go to sport mode. It livens the truck up in the hills and around the corners. In the flat I go to standard mode. Just getting around 16mph now with 500 miles in truck.

I don't use either the sport or towing mode. We live in the Santa Cruz mountains, so going up/down the mountain is a daily routine. I just switch to manual mode, and select the gears that I want. The tranny computer is always a day late, and dollar short when going up hill.

The indicator shows 29-30 MPG on the downhill (sure). Going up hill, we get anywhere from 12 to 16. Ours is mostly averaging out around 18 or 19.

I have been doing the daily driving back and forth to work and into town in regular mode. I drive normal, conservative, easy cruising style, just enjoy the comfort and have been sitting on 18.6-19mpg. I've only messed with the "S" mode a couple times. I towed my side by side around a week or so ago and put it in tow/haul, but don't think it needed it.

I've been looking at leveling kits, but don't know how bad it would throw off the mileage.
