I went to the "Marchtoberfest" event put on by the Max restaurant group last weekend at the basketball hall of fame. Lots of new beers and hard ciders there. Around 100 I think, and some good beer food as well. I'd say I ended up trying close to 60 of them. It was a well done event. Minimal flair with plenty of focus on substance.

There's a new taco place in town with great food and great selection of local beers on tap, 20 of them. Tried firefly brewing out of Bristol, CT, their corn flakes dipa. Was great

I need a couple of good beers that come in standard size 16oz cans. Bought me a small-ish wall mount Pepsi machine at the swap meet this past weekend and need to fill it with something. Any requests for Bud or silver bullets will be met with swift punishment and ridicule.

Ok, my bad. It has been a very, VERY, long time since I have opened beer from a can.

As I, but everyone remembers "12 ounce curls" as part of their exercise routine.

While I will admit to drinking Bud "back in the day" it was always in bottles. The only cans I've ever had would have been from visiting someone and it's what they had in the fridge.

I did find this article, but many of these aren't available locally.

Just had a few of those at The Tavern last Saturday. I would drink that again... Haven't drank much lately I had to trim off 12 pounds for the Army.... apparently if you're 72" at 26 you cant weigh over 196 pounds.

There are some pretty good breweries here in CT.

As far as the cans, Greg, Sam's usually does their seasonal beers in cans I think.
