Finally!!!!!!!!!!
After over 11 months being out of work, I finally got offered a job today. This has definately been the worst year of my life, lost job, lost wife, etc... This could not have come at a better time. I was to the point of having to sell my house and trying to find some cheap apartment to live in.
I am so excited. It's Monday through Friday, 8:00 - 5:00, no on-call, very little OT if any, and doing the same kind of work I've been doing for the last 10 years. It's a little less money than what I was making before, but it's a lot more than what I thought I would have to settle for in this economy.
I'm stoked!!!!!

When you're over-worked like some of us we tend to forget about the people that are out of work. Congrats. Hopefully this will make your life a whole bunch better.

Glad to hear about your job!!! But better yet you had a savings to get you thru the past 11 months. I wasn't that fortunate 4 years ago when I had a bad car wreck. We lost our home and what not. Since then I've learned about putting that little some thing back to get ya thru the rough times. And again real glad to see ya get a job ya like!!!

I guess I have been lucky. I was with AT@T for 21 years. I knew my job was going away. I found a new job. Now after two more new jobs, I start working for the government in a week.
